CHINA NOW REPORTS COVID TALLY SINCE 2021

Puzzling it maybe but China reports covid deaths after more than a year of hiatus since year January 25, 2021 as the country currently battles its most worst outbreak so far.

China's National Health Commission website listed two deaths in its currently most hit region Jilin

which borders Russia and North Korea.  Since the pandemic began, China now reports through its health commission that as of March 18, 2022 deaths now tally to 4,638  with 2,228 confirmed new cases compared to that of 2,416 from the tally a day earlier. It was recorded that 2,157 of the March 18 tally were locally transmitted from the population of Jilin and the  rest were from Fujian's southeastern province including that of Guangdong's southern province.

These casualty data quickly spread and trended into the social media world as support poured for China's advocacy of a zero-COVID policy.

5 THINGS THE PERSON YOU'RE TALKING WITH IS A FILIPINO

1. If he/she stutters saying:  'yung ano', 'yung kwan, uhmmm, uhhh...

There has been a study research that more than 70 million Filipinos worldwide stutters and they normally use these stutter terms:  'yung ano, yung kwan, uhmmm, uhhh.'

2. If he/she mentions his/her fave food is adobo or lechon

Adobo was the signature dish Filipino love to eat on any occassion.  Aside from rice being the staple food, many Filipinos local and worldwide likes to eat it especially along with rice.  The dish was actually a cooking method during invented during the pre-colonial times that their ancestors used to preserve their food through marinating solutions.  In fact, the word 'adobar' during the Spanish era in the country and was later shortened to 'adobo' as time goes by.

3. if the person says that he/she eats balut.

Balut is one of the most popular street food in the philippines. Balut is a boiled egg containing the fertilized embryo of poultry animals especially that of a duck.

4. that his/her favorite fruit is: unripe mango with bagoong.

If many love to pair bacon with eggs as well as burger and fries, Filipinos too have one of those popular local food pairs like in any other places on Earth.  If you happen to meet a Filipino elsewhere in the world and ask what food they miss most. You can easily  tell that they were certified Filipinos if they say they miss: hilaw na mangga with bagoong.

And if you are wondering what food it was, it was actually unripe mango fruit paired with sauteed shrimp paste. This food pair is certified to be one of the most sought after especially of Filipinos who has long been living outside the Philippines. Simply because not many country can grow and produce mangoes like the varieties found in the Philippines.  Shrimp paste made in the Philippines are hardly found or sold on groceries and stores because many its look and smell disgusting.

5. if the person greets or address you: Kabayan!

If you encounter a person who greets saying:  Kumusta Kabayan! or Hello Fellow Filipino Citizen! You are sure the person have mistaken you to be a fellow Filipino.  Kabayan! is a way of greeting to Filipinos addressed to their fellow citizen.

So, if you happen to encounter someone and shows any or all of these signs and ways, for sure you must be talking or meeting with a Filipino or someone who was a native of the Philippines. But you need not worry meeting one, for Filipinos by nature are genuinely friendly and affectionate in making foreign friends feel at home.
